When life gives you lemons make lemonade AND this subtly sweet, lightly lemon flavored whipped cream! This recipe may use a lemon but it most definitely is not one (if you catch my drift)! A perfect compliment to your favorite luscious berries, angel food cake, and waffles!
Sweet Lemon Whipped Cream
• 3 T. powdered sugar
• 1 T fresh squeezed lemon juice
• 1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
• 1/4 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS:
Chill mixer bowl in freezer before adding ingredients.
Use an electric mixer to whip heavy cream until it begins to thicken. Gradually mix in sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. Whip until soft peaks form, do not over whip. Fold in lemon zest and serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to a few hours.
